For all the health buffs out there, I discovered something that you will surely love to add to your diet!
Are you familiar with Salabat? If no, it is the slightly dark yellow tea made from ginger and my grandmother just loves drinking it. She said that ginger tea is packed with great health benefits and she recommended that I try drinking one cup of Salabat at least once a day. Being the masunuring apo that I am, I mixed the ginger powder with hot water and finished the whole cup. It honestly doesn’t taste bad but it doesn’t taste good neither.
I researched about different recipes on how I can make my ginger tea (taste better!) and came across an article about Turmeric Tea. Turmeric is also from the root family of ginger also known as Luyang Dilaw. Reading one article led to another, then to another link… and so on. I was absolutely amazed that there are a lot of research being made right now about Turmeric.
I’ve also read that turmeric can help ease joint pains! That is just perfect because I love jogging, playing basketball and going to the gym so I sometimes suffer occasional pain on my knees and ankles.
While doing my research, I discovered turmeric capsules called TURCUMIN Herbal Food Supplement. It is FDA approved and only costs Php 15.00 per capsule. It is distribute by a local company named HealthRich Pharma Corp.
So bottom line is, I’ll be surely adding turmeric in my diet. It can be by adding the spice on my lunch or by drinking turmeric tea (also known as LIQUID GOLD!) or by taking turmeric capsuled supplements.
